All Documents Dried, Shredded and Secure
Hurricane Sandy just finished unleashing its mighty force on the New York metropolitan area when one of our clients called us and needed help. Three levels of their building in the financial district were under water. Unfortunately, this is where they stored their highly confidential documents. The confidential documents in IntelliShred storage containers needed to be recovered, transported to our secure facility, remediated for mold, dehumidified and securely destroyed. This is not a core service IntelliShred normally provides. We were contacted by our client on a late Thursday afternoon that the IntelliShred security containers were being pulled out of the building the next morning by salvage workers. Our client was very concerned the documents would not be secure during the removal/transport/destruction process. We dispatched two IntelliShred Service Representatives early Friday morning who arrived at the client’s location and supervised the entire recovery process. All containers were securely loaded onto our truck, transported to our secure warehouse and processed all wet documents for mold remediation and dehumidification. Within 48 hours all material was securely shredded and recycled. Our client called us the next week to express their high level of appreciation for our ability to react in a very expeditious and professional manner at a very fair price. They claimed we went “above and beyond their expectations.”
